Downtown Farmers’ Market to open at 8 a.m. for the month of October
The Downtown Farmers’ Market presented by UnityPoint Health – Des Moines will begin one hour later for the month of October. Shop in the Historic Court District from 8 a.m. to Noon every Saturday through Oct. 31.
This is the third year the Downtown Farmers’ Market has started later in October. The later start provides more daylight as vendors prepare their stands for the arrival of Market patrons.
Trick-or-treat at the Market the last Saturday of the Season, Oct. 31! The Downtown Farmers’ Market encourages market patrons (and their dogs) to dress up in costumes to celebrate Halloween.
The award-winning Downtown Farmers’ Market supports nearly 300 local entrepreneurs including farmers, producers, bakers, artists and more, representing 58 counties across the state of Iowa. The Market has been featured in a number of national publications including Women’s Health Magazine, The Daily Meal, Shape Magazine, Midwest Living Magazine, Country Living Magazine and The Huffington Post.
The Winter Market will be held November 20-21 and December 18-19 at Capital Square and Kaleidoscope at The Hub and will feature more than 130 vendors, holiday shopping, entertainment and more!
